Making the first step....again?

The past two years have been very confusing, hectic and frustrating. This is in big part thanks to the economic state of the world, and then I also had to go on and fall in love with a boy in another country. Our immigration adventures had us all over the place, and it is sad how hard it is to live together, how expensive it is documents wise, and through how many hoops you have to jump through. Seems a bit silly when you realize how many fake marriage immigrants there are all over who seem to get things done without any hiccups.

Two years ago we decided that we absolutely cannot make it in the USA due to job cuts and lack of new jobs. Since then we have moved around his native UK and my native Croatia, with some hops over to Bosnia. Feeling quite down and displaced we have done a lot to get buy and every 3 steps we took forward it seemed that we got knocked 2 steps back. Last August we decided we will move to UK permanently, luckily he got a job and we thought we are set! FINALLY we will make it, we will be able to settle here and live our life without any fear of separation! Ah how wrong we were, the job was lost due to downgrading. And he cant find another. My flight back to Croatia is in February. What to do? Really what to do? What can we do?

After a lot of, ah well you can imagine…I’m sure… We decided to give Croatia a proper chance. There is plenty of land in the near, and kinda near, family and not many able bodies. But what could we do? We have no money, we have 2 one way flights to Croatia and 1,500 pounds to our name. That was our savings for my visa. A meagre grand and a half.

In the end the plan is to start our own chicken farm. None of that caged, cruel nonsense. Just happy, chirpy, running all over the place chickens. My parents actually had the idea for this, but their health problems stop them from doing any of the physical work. That is where we will come in.

In preparation for our coming, in a month, they have bought 200 egg laying chickens and 100 meat chickens. By the time we are there we will have time just to make some extra nests for egg laying, as now they are all just frolicking around.

We will attempt to sell both the eggs and the meat chickens and that will be our only source of income, unfortunately. So we will try to live off the land as much as possible. This is where my big garden comes in! I will be so busy my head will spin, but I love the idea of it!

The other side of the plot, pear trees. The veg will be across the plot and down to the compost heap... hopefully!

Now nearly two months later I want to share what I have to show from the site.
First I spent some 50 of my earned points on purchasing a ring sizer. Did I need or want it? No, I only made the purchase so that I could verify my shipping address and be able to advance from the Bronze level to Silver.
On October 13th I put in an order for a Fuji film camera I really wanted. It arrived at my door on the 19th. I was super happy!
After I ordered the camera I didn't do much on the site, but once I received it I decided to use the Points2shop site for my Christmas shop.
I have a bunch of stuff that I want to buy for my hubby, not a lot of cash though so the earnings from this website will be very welcome. I already have enough to buy him a new 45pound (60someish usd) video game that is coming out.
Also I think it's important to note that I don't complete the copious amounts of offers asking you for the phone numbers, hose addys, and absolutely NO credit card info. Despite all this I have been sucessful.
